Number Of Ingredients 13

4 Beef Ribs
1/2 Cup Flour
2 Medium Onions, chopped
4 Cloves garlic, minced
1 Cup or 70 g Carrots, cut to bite size pieces
1 Tablespoon Tomato Puree
2 Bay Leaves
2 Tablespoons Honey
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Teaspoon Thyme
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Pint Beef Stock
Salt and Pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Wash the ribs. Place in a large mixing bowl and add the flour, salt and pepper. Toss the ribs and make sure they are well coated with the flour. Transfer any remaining flour to a cup and add a few tablespoons of water. Stir to make a paste and set aside.
  • In a large pan, add a drop of olive oil and brown the ribs on all sides then transfer to the slow cooker.
  • Using the same pan, saute the onions and garlic until soft. Use a spatula and stir everything, scraping the bottom and sides of the pan to get all the beef residue off.
  • Add the tomato puree, bay leaves, paprika, honey, Worcestershire sauce, thyme and beef stock.
  • Using the flour paste you made, add that to the broth mixture, stir over a high heat until it starts to boil. Add the carrots. Taste if you wish to add any salt and pepper.
  • Transfer the broth mixture to the slow cooker. Place lid on and cook on LOW for 6 hours.
  • **If cooking this in the oven, transfer everything to a casserole dish and cover. Place in the oven at oven at 300 F or 150 C for approximately 3 hrs.
  • **TIP: 20 minutes before cook time (slow cooker and oven), just have a quick check to make sure the broth is as thick as you would like. if it is too thin, simply mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to 1 tablespoon of cold water in a cup and pour that into the broth and stir. this will thicken it when it continues to cook for the remaining cook time.
  • When cooked, serve with some delicious creamy cheesy mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.

BEST EVER FALL OFF THE BONES CROCKPOT RIBS

BEST EVER FALL OFF THE BONES CROCKPOT RIBS image

My daughter and I love ribs, being a working mom I enjoy using the crockpot. These were easy enough to make in the morning and come home from work to tasty goodness. My photo is awful sorry; they literally fell off the bone as I pulled them out of the crock, which made it hard to photo, we ended up with delicious boneless pork...

Time 8h15m

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 1/2 lb bone in country style pork ribs
2 Tbsp cajun seasoning
2 Tbsp onion powder i use onion onion
1 tsp pepper
6 clove garlic minced
worcestershire sauce
bbq sauce bottled or homemade

Steps:

  • 1. Place the ribs in the crock rub the seasoning and cloves of minced garlic all over the ribs, rub it in good, turn them over and season the other side.
  • 2. Add the bbq sauce and worshieshire sauce to the crock pot with the ribs. I put a couple dashes of the worshieshire sauce and add one bottle of the bbq sauce, we like sweet baby rays, you can add any or homemade.
  • 3. Cook in crock for 8 hours on low.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs or spare ribs can be used for this recipe, but baby back ribs are generally more tender and have less fat.
  • Trim the ribs: Remove any excess fat or membrane from the ribs before cooking.
  • Season the ribs: Season the ribs generously with your favorite rub or spices. A simple combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder works well.
  • Sear the ribs: Sear the ribs in a hot skillet or on a grill before transferring them to the slow cooker. This will help to caramelize the ribs and add flavor.
  • Use a good quality barbecue sauce: Choose a barbecue sauce that you enjoy the taste of. A thick, flavorful sauce will help to coat the ribs and make them extra delicious.
  • Cook the ribs on low heat: Cook the ribs on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until they are fall-off-the-bone tender.
  • Let the ribs rest: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute and make the ribs even more tender.

Conclusion:

These fall-off-the-bone crockpot ribs are the perfect dish for any casual get-together or special occasion. They are easy to make, and they are always a hit with guests. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy way to cook ribs, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
