BEST EVER BANANA PUDDING
This is totally different from "Southern" banana pudding that needs to be baked and has meringue on it. This is not baked! We've been making it for years, and it's always a hit!

Steps:
- 1. Soften cream cheese block to room temperature. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with condensed milk. Add pinch of vanilla, and instant pudding mixes. Set aside.
- 2. Slice bananas thinly, and drizzle with lemon juice to keep from turning brown.
- 3. In a small chilled bowl, beat whipping cream on high speed with sugar, until stiff peaks start to form. If you can't chill your bowl, put the carton of whipping cream in the freezer for about 10 minutes before this step.
- 4. Stir bananas into pudding mixture. Fold whipped cream into pudding.
- 5. In large serving bowl, put a layer of whole vanilla wafers on bottom. Add a layer of pudding. Crumble some vanilla wafers on top of pudding, and add whole wafers around the edges of the bowl, if desired. Continue pudding & wafer layers until pudding is gone. Add Cool Whip to the top. Chill & serve.
Tips:
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your pudding will be. If your bananas are not ripe enough, you may need to add more sugar or sweetener to the recipe.
- Don't overcook the pudding: The pudding should be cooked until it is just thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. If you overcook it, the pudding will become rubbery.
- Use a variety of cookies: You can use any type of cookie you like in this recipe, but vanilla wafers, Nilla Wafers, and graham crackers are all popular choices.
- Chill the pudding before serving: This will help the pudding to set and make it easier to slice.
- Serve the pudding with your favorite toppings: Some popular choices include whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and fresh fruit.
Conclusion:
Banana pudding is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its creamy, sweet, and flavorful filling, it is sure to be a hit at your next potluck or gathering. So next time you have some ripe bananas on hand, be sure to give this recipe a try!
