BEST GOOEY BROWNIE RECIPE EVER

Best Gooey Brownie Recipe EVER image

This recipe is uber delicious and it is so simple, your 3 year old could make it (granted you measure everything out first).

Time 35m

Yield 12 brownies, 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda (omit if you don't want the crunchy crust)
1 cup semisweet chocolate

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
  • Melt the butter and lightly grease a pan of your liking (I used an 8x8 because I like a thicker brownie).
  • In a large bowl; combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  • In another large bowl; combine the sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Once combined beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each until thoroughly blended.
  • Gradually add in the flour mixture to the egg/sugar mixture.
  • Toss the chocolate chips in a little flour. (The flour will keep them from sinking to the bottom of the pan.).
  • Mix the chocolate chips into the batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. (The brownies are done if you stick a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.
  • (ALSO, THE BATTER IS GOING TO RISE. PLEASE, DO NOT BE ALARMED! ONCE IT SINKS, WHICH TAKES ALL OF 10 MINUTES, I CAN ASSURE YOU THEY MIGHT BE THE BEST BROWNIES YOU'VE EVER TASTED.).

KING ARTHUR FLOUR: THE BEST FUDGE BROWNIE EVER

King Arthur Flour: the Best Fudge Brownie Ever image

I was about to toss the empty flour bag when the word "brownie" jumped out at me. Yeah, I know "who needs ANOTHER brownie recipe?"...those of us who have a cookbook devoted exclusively to chocolate or brownies, that's who! =D

Time 1h5m

Yield 24 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (1 tsp if using unsalted butter)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups king arther unbleached all-purpose flour
2 cups chocolate chips
1/2-3/4 cup chopped pecans (or favorite) (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 pan.
  • In a medium sized microwave-safe bowl or in a saucepan, melt the butter on low heat, then add the sugar and stir to combine.
  • Return the mixture to the heat or microwave briefly, just until it's hot but not bubbling. It will become shiny looking as you stir it. Heating the buter and sugar a second time will dissolve more of the sugar, which will yield a shiny top crust on your brownies.
  • Transfer the mix to a mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the cocoa, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.
  • Add the eggs, beating till smooth; then add teh flour and chips and nuts if using. Beat until well combined.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake the brownies for 28-30 minutes, until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs clinging to it.
  • The brownies should feel set both around the edges and in the center.
  • Remove from the oven, and after 5 minutes loosen the edges with a table knife, this will help preven the brownies from sinking in the center as they cool.
  • Cool completely before cutting and serving.

BEST FUDGE BROWNIE MIX

Best Fudge Brownie Mix image

A friend of mine's grandmother shared this recipe with me for brownie mix. Its great because it keeps a lot longer than brownie mixes which incorporate butter or shortening into the mix. Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 12

FOR THE MIX
3 c all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
4 c sugar
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa
FOR THE BROWNIES
2 1/2 c brownie mix
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/4 c water

Steps:

  • 1. To make the brownie mix: In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add in sugar and cocoa. Blend well, until evenly distributed. Place mix in an air tight container and store in a cool, dry place. This mix will keep for a long time!
  • 2. For the brownies: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8 pan with cooking spray.
  • 3. In a medium bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups brownie mix with oil, eggs, vanilla and water and wisk together with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • 4. Pour into a square pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until done in the center. Double the brownie recipe for a 9x13 pan and bake for 28-30 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use the best quality chocolate you can find. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your brownies.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the brownies tough.
  • Use a baking pan that is at least 9x13 inches. This will give the brownies plenty of room to spread and rise.
  • Don't overbake the brownies. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help prevent them from falling apart.

Brownies are a classic dessert that is loved by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With so many different recipes to choose from, you are sure to find one that you love. So next time you are looking for a delicious and satisfying dessert, give brownies a try.
