Number Of Ingredients 5

(4) 3 ounce boxes Jello gelatin (, assorted colors)
4 cups boiling water
(2) .25 ounce envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 cups hot water
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

Steps:

  • Dissolve each box of jello into its own individual container, using 1 cup of boiling water per flavor (no more than 1-inch deep.) Chill until solid, about 3 hours or overnight.
  • Once solid, cut each of the different flavors into small square cubes.
  • Using a 9×13 glass dish, gently mix the cubes together in an even layer (being very careful not to break or tear them.)
  • In a medium-sized bowl, dissolve 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin in 2 cups of hot water. Let the hot mixture cool slightly and then whisk in the sweetened condensed milk.
  • Let mixture cool to the touch (If it's too warm, it could melt the Jello cubes.) Then evenly pour the mixture over the cubes of Jello.
  • Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

This recipe is from a blog online. This dessert is very colorful (use your imagination for the colors that look good together). I recommend red, blue, yellow and green. Kids will love it! "Zaar wouldn't let me post 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin (like Knox). The envelopes are .25 oz. each.

BROKEN GLASS JELLO RECIPE - (3.8/5)

Broken Glass Jello Recipe - (3.8/5) image

Provided by littlejordan

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (don't get evaporated milk)
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (that Knox stuff)
4 small boxes (3-ounce) of Jell-O or store brand "gelatin dessert" in different colors

Steps:

  • For each flavor, dissolve one box of jello in one cup of boiling water. Pour into a container and chill (overnight is probably best, but I chilled it 3 hours until firm). After chilling the four flavors, cut them into small blocks. Carefully mix the blocks in a 9 x 13 pan. In a separate bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water. After the gelatin blooms, add 1 1/2 cup boiling water and dissolve. Add the can of condensed milk. Stir and cool. Pour cooled milk mixture over jello and chill overnight. Cut into blocks or shapes and serve!

Tips:

  • Use a variety of colors of Jell-O: This will make your broken glass Jell-O more visually appealing.
  • Cut the Jell-O into small pieces: This will make it easier to eat and will also help to create the "broken glass" effect.
  • Use a clear glass bowl or mold: This will allow you to see the different colors of Jell-O and the "broken glass" effect.
  • Chill the Jell-O for at least 4 hours, or overnight: This will allow it to set properly.
  • Serve the Jell-O with whipped cream or ice cream: This will make it even more delicious.

Conclusion:

Broken glass Jell-O is a fun and easy dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover Jell-O, and it is also a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. With a little creativity, you can create a broken glass Jell-O that is both beautiful and delicious.
