LINDA'S APPLE BROWNIES

Linda's Apple Brownies image

The first time I had these I thought I had died and gone to heaven... This recipe is in the Top 5 for my FAVORITE desserts... Add a scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream on top of one of these YUMMY brownies when they are warm, is the ULTIMATE in desserts in my opinion! 1-23-08 I did make an adjustment on this recipe. It should have been an 8x8" pan not a 9x13"... No wonder they were coming out crumbly! Also, I use 2 med. McIntosh apples for mine.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality chocolate. This is the key ingredient in brownies, so it's important to use a chocolate that you love the taste of. A good quality chocolate will also be easier to melt and will give your brownies a richer flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make your brownies tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. Don't overbake the brownies, or they will be dry and crumbly.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them to set and will prevent them from falling apart.
  • Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Apple brownies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their fudgy chocolate center and sweet and tangy apple filling, these brownies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
