Tips:

  • Choosing the right potatoes: For the best results, select sweet potatoes that are firm and have smooth skin. Avoid potatoes that are bruised or have blemishes.
  • Cutting the potatoes: To ensure even cooking, cut the sweet potatoes into uniform-sized pieces. Aim for fries that are about 1/2 inch thick and 3 to 4 inches long.
  • Coating the potatoes: Before air frying, toss the potato fries in a mixture of olive oil, salt, and pepper. This will help them crisp up and develop a flavorful crust.
  • Air fryer temperature and time: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for optimal results. Depending on the thickness of the fries, air fry them for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Seasoning the fries: Once the fries are done cooking, season them with additional salt and pepper to taste. You can also sprinkle them with herbs, spices, or grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
