Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen berries: Fresh berries are ideal, but frozen berries work just as well. If using frozen berries, do not thaw them before mixing them with the other ingredients.
  • Choose ripe berries: The riper the berries, the sweeter the crisp will be.
  • Do not overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will make the crisp tough. Stir just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling: This usually takes about 45-50 minutes. Do not underbake the crisp, or the topping will be mushy.
  • Serve the crisp warm or at room temperature: The crisp is best when served warm or at room temperature. You can top it with whipped cream, ice cream, or vanilla sauce.

Conclusion:

Berry crisp dump cake is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with fresh or frozen berries, a simple cake mix, and a buttery oat topping.
