Time 6h20m

Yield 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups raspberries
1 cup sugar
8 bags hibiscus tea
1 bunch fresh basil (about 10 leaves), a few leaves reserved for garnish
Juice of 2 limes
Raspberry Ice, recipe follows
36 raspberries

Steps:

  • Bring 8 cups water to a boil. Add the raspberries, sugar, tea bags and basil. Turn off the heat and steep 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and let cool, then combine with the lime juice in a large pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. Serve in Raspberry Ice-filled glasses, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
  • Add 3 raspberries to each ice cube slot in an ice-cube tray. Fill with water and freeze until solid, 6 to 8 hours.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe and flavorful berries: The quality of your berries will greatly impact the taste of your tea. Look for berries that are plump, brightly colored, and have a sweet aroma.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as basil and mint, can add a refreshing and flavorful touch to your tea. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but they will not be as flavorful.
  • Don't oversteep your tea: Steeping your tea for too long can make it bitter. For herbal teas, a general rule of thumb is to steep them for 5-7 minutes. For black and green teas, steep them for 3-5 minutes.
  • Sweeten your tea to taste: If you like your tea sweet, you can add honey, sugar, or another sweetener to taste. You can also add a squeeze of lemon or lime for a tart flavor.
  • Enjoy your tea hot or cold: Bella Basil Raspberry Tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. If you're enjoying it hot, let it cool for a few minutes before drinking to avoid burning your tongue. If you're enjoying it cold, let it cool completely and then chill it in the refrigerator for a refreshing iced tea.

Conclusion:

Bella Basil Raspberry Tea is a delicious and refreshing herbal tea that can be enjoyed hot or cold. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste preferences. With its combination of sweet raspberries, aromatic basil, and zesty lemon, this tea is sure to become a favorite in your home.
