HOMEMADE BEEFY NOODLE HAMBURGER HELPER

Homemade Beefy Noodle Hamburger Helper image

This is so simple to make, and tastes soooo much better than the boxed stuff, and very little preservatives. I like the rotini pasta, but you can use whatever you want. You can also use egg noodles, I just don't care for them.

Provided by Kim Kelemen

Categories     Beef

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 lb ground beef
1/2 medium onion
4 c milk
2 c beef broth
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 c rotini pasta
2 Tbsp corn starch
2 tsp salt
2 tsp paparika
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground mustard powder

Steps:

  • 1. Brown your ground beef and onion in a large skillet or pot, do not drain.
  • 2. Add all the other ingredients and stir, bring to a boil, and simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes or till noodles are done. Stir often so it doesn't stick to the bottom
  • 3. That's it, so simple and delish.

Tips:

  • Use a large skillet or Dutch oven to cook the beef and noodles. This will prevent overcrowding and ensure that the noodles cook evenly.
  • Brown the beef in a little bit of oil before adding the other ingredients. This will help to seal in the flavor and prevent the beef from becoming dry.
  • Add the noodles, broth, and vegetables to the skillet and bring to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
  • Stir in the cheese and milk and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or chives.

Conclusion:

This beefy noodles recipe is a quick and easy meal that is perfect for busy weeknights. It is also a great way to use up leftover beef.
