Curves Recipe

Provided by Lori DeBry

Categories     Pasta

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 c egg noodles
4 tsp flour
4 Tbsp water
8 Tbsp lite sour cream
1 c cream of chicken soup
1 c chopped onion
1 can(s) sauteed mushrooms
4 garlic powder
pepper
4 sirloin steaks
1 c green beans

Steps:

  • 1. Boil water, add egg noodles, cook for 8-10 minutes. Dissolve flour in water, stir in sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Warm a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add onions, mushrooms, garlic powder, and pepper to taste. When the onions soften, add sliced sirloin and cook until just browned. Pour the soup mix over the steak and vegetables, and cook until hot and bubbly. Steam the green beans.
  • 2. Serve beef mix over egg noodles. Serve green beans on the side.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients, especially the beef. Look for well-marbled meat, as this will result in a more flavorful dish.
  • Cut the beef against the grain into thin strips. This will help to ensure that the meat cooks evenly and remains tender.
  • Use a large skillet or Dutch oven to cook the stroganoff. This will provide enough space for the meat and vegetables to cook without overcrowding.
  • Cook the beef in batches if necessary. Do not overcrowd the pan, or the meat will not brown properly.
  • Be patient when cooking the sauce. Allow it to simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until it has thickened and reduced.
  • Serve the stroganoff over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Conclusion:

Beef stroganoff is a classic dish that is both delicious and easy to make. By following these tips, you can create a restaurant-quality stroganoff that your family and friends will love. So next time you're looking for a comforting and flavorful meal, give beef stroganoff a try.
