Time 40m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 slices bread, torn into small pieces
1/2 cup milk
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, small, minced
salt and pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup catsup

Steps:

  • Moisten bread in milk. Combine with meat, onion, salt and pepper, mix well.
  • Shape into patties.
  • Brown in oil in frying pan.
  • Combine remaining ingredients with 1/2 cup water to make a sauce.
  • Pour sauce over patties.
  • Continue cooking, covered over low heat for 30 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: For beef patties, chuck, sirloin, or round roast are good choices. They have a good amount of fat, which will help keep the patties moist and flavorful.
  • Grind the beef yourself: If possible, grind the beef yourself at home. This will ensure that the meat is fresh and has the right consistency.
  • Season the patties well: Before cooking, season the beef patties with salt, pepper, and other spices of your choice. This will help to enhance the flavor of the meat.
  • Cook the patties over medium heat: Cooking the patties over medium heat will help to prevent them from drying out. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
  • Let the patties rest before serving: Before serving, let the patties rest for a few minutes. This will help to redistribute the juices and make them more tender.

Conclusion:

These beef patties with Thai-style sauce are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. They are perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend cookout. The patties are juicy and flavorful, and the sauce is tangy and sweet. Serve them with rice, noodles, or vegetables for a complete meal.
