Time 40m

Yield 5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

500 g elbow macaroni
4 onions, finely chopped
70 g butter
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 green chili, chopped
1 tablespoon coriander leaves, chopped (cilantro)
500 g beef mince
salt and pepper
500 g yoghurt
8 cloves garlic, crushed

Steps:

  • Make the macaroni as per the package instructions.
  • Fry the onions in the butter till they are golden brown.
  • Add the green chillies and saute.
  • Add the spice powders.
  • Add the minced beef and fry till brown and cooked.
  • Add the coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Add the macaroni to this and stir till heated through.
  • Mix the yoghurt and garlic together.
  • Serve the macaroni in a platter.
  • Pour the yoghurt and garlic sauce over it and serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the right mince: Not all mince is created equal. For the best results, choose a mince that is at least 80% lean. This will help to prevent the mince from becoming dry and tough.
  • Season the mince well: Don't be afraid to season the mince liberally. This will help to bring out the flavor of the meat. Common seasonings for mince include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Don't overcook the mince: Overcooked mince is tough and dry. Cook the mince until it is just cooked through, but still has a little bit of pink in the center. This will help to keep the mince moist and tender.
  • Use a variety of cooking methods: There are many different ways to cook mince. You can fry it, bake it, grill it, or slow-cook it. The best cooking method for your mince will depend on the recipe you are using.
  • Be creative with your recipes: Mince is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes. Don't be afraid to experiment with different recipes and flavor combinations.

Conclusion:

Mince is a delicious and affordable ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes. By following these tips, you can create delicious and satisfying mince dishes that your family and friends will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, reach for the mince!
