  • Stir in remaining 1 TBS soy sauce and serve at once.
  • Note: For more pronounce Asian flavor, stir in another tablespoon soy sauce before serving.

Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
  • Choose the right cut of beef: For chop suey, you'll want to use a tender cut of beef that will cook quickly. Some good options include flank steak, sirloin, or tenderloin.
  • Marinate the beef: Marinating the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and cornstarch will help to tenderize it and give it flavor.
  • Cook the beef in a hot wok or skillet: This will help to sear the outside of the beef and keep it tender on the inside.
  • Add the vegetables: Once the beef is cooked, add the vegetables and cook them until they are tender-crisp.
  • Thicken the sauce: To thicken the sauce, add a cornstarch slurry (a mixture of cornstarch and water) and stir until the sauce has reached your desired consistency.
  • Serve immediately: Chop suey is best served hot and fresh.
