BEEF AND LAMB MARINADE

Fantastic marinade from a very old Taylor wine cookbook. We always had this for the 4th of July when I was growing up.

Categories     Marinades

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 c olive oil
1/4 c soy sauce
1/2 c burgundy wine
2 clove garlic
2 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp curry powder
1/2 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a plastic bag. Cut up about 3 pounds of beef or lamb into cubes and marinate overnight. You can also add peppers, onions, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. This will also work with a flank steak. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use a combination of flank steak and lamb shoulder.
  • Make sure to marinate the meat for at least 3 hours, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • If you're short on time, you can marinate the meat for just 30 minutes, but it won't be as flavorful.
  • Use a large, shallow dish to marinate the meat so that it's evenly coated.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate the meat.
  • Turn the meat occasionally to ensure that it marinates evenly.
  • When you're ready to cook the meat, remove it from the marinade and pat it dry.
  • Discard the marinade.
  • Cook the meat according to your desired method.

Conclusion:

This beef and lamb marinade is a great way to add flavor and tenderness to your meat. It's perfect for grilling, roasting, or pan-frying. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious marinade that will take your beef and lamb dishes to the next level.
