Steps:
- Prepare a smoker or set up a grill for indirect heat to 200 to 225 degrees F. I use oak wood for my smoke, but pecan or cherry wood also work well.
- Rinse and then pat dry the ribs. Place in a rectangular pan and coat with a liberal amount of rub on all sides, shaking off any excess. Smoke or grill the ribs for 3 to 4 hours. If the grill or smoker becomes too hot, open the lid and spray the ribs with apple juice, otherwise do not open the lid. If you're looking, you're not cooking.
- Remove the ribs, wrap in heavy-duty foil and cover tightly. Return to the smoker or grill for another 2 to 3 hours. Pour the BBQ sauce into a squirt bottle. Uncover the ribs and generously apply BBQ sauce. Reduce the temperature to 150 to 175 degrees F. Once the sauce has "melded" to the ribs, remove and let rest. That's it, good luck.

- While I boil the pork for 20-30 minutes to decrease fat, I mix all other ingredients together in a large enough bowl and stir to mix well.
- Put pork in the crock pot, adding sauce as you go, until you get to about an inch from the top.
- Use as much sauce as you can as it will be needed later to put over the rice.
- With a big spoon, give a stir to blend all together.
- Put on the lid, turn on high and let it cook for about 5 hours.
- After that, you may want to keep it a little longer on low to keep it hot.

Steps:
- 1. Ribs: Sprinkle both sides with the garlic powder and Everglades seasoning. Place a paper towel over top and allow to rest while you make the sauce.
- 2. Sauce: Place all ingredients, except chopped bacon and the liquid smoke, in a saucepan. Mix well and heat stirring occasionally. Do not allow to burn. Once it begins to come to a soft boil, remove from heat, stir in bacon bits. Place the sauce in a bowl or glass measuring cup and cover with Saran Wrap. Set aside. (Do not refrigerate)
- 3. Spray your Crock Pot with cooking spray. Place ribs in and sprinkle with the mesquite liquid smoke. I used a cap full. Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours.
- 4. Check meat after the 4 1/2 hours. Should be a little pink. Drain the liquid and cover the ribs with the BBQ sauce and cook for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- 5. My Crock Pot cooks a little hotter than normal so you may have to adjust your times or cook until a meat thermometer reads 145°. I must add that your house is going to smell so yummy while this is cooking. Enjoy.

These are so good and very easy to make. So tender they melt right in your mouth. I only made enough for one person but should have made more cause I had to test them while they were cooking and unfortunately there wasn't much left when it was time to eat. Don't leave out the liquid smoke this really makes the difference. Directions are included for baking in the oven or making on top of the stove also could be made in crockpot.

Steps:
- Dry Rub: Combine salt, brown sugar, sugar, lemon zest, black pepper and paprika in small bowl. Ribs: Rub dry rub all over the ribs. Put them in a glass baking dish and cover with stretch wrap. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Stir together ketchup, beer, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, oregano, basil, thyme and pepper. Put one cup of the sauce on the side to use later as a glaze. Put the ribs in a dutch oven or covered heavy pot that will accommodate them, pour the sauce over the ribs and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until the ribs are tender. (You can do this a day ahead and refrigerate the ribs if you are having a party). Prepare your grill or preheat your broiler. Remove the ribs from the sauce and discard the sauce. Spread the ribs with half the sauce that you reserved. Cook the ribs on the grill or under the broiler till crispy and browned, turn over and sauce the other side. It will take about 3-5 minutes on each side for them to glaze and caramelize and get yummy. Serve with tons of napkins!!
Tips:
- Choose the right ribs: Look for country-style pork ribs that are meaty and have a good amount of marbling. Avoid ribs that are too thin or have too much fat.
- Prepare the ribs properly: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs to help them cook more evenly. You can also trim off any excess fat.
- Use a good quality BBQ sauce: Choose a sauce that is thick and flavorful. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own.
- Cook the ribs low and slow: This will help the ribs to become tender and fall off the bone. Cook the ribs for at least 2 hours, or until they are cooked through.
- Baste the ribs regularly: This will help to keep the ribs moist and prevent them from drying out. Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes or so.
- Let the ribs rest before serving: This will help the ribs to retain their juices. Let the ribs rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Conclusion:
BBQ country-style ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can make sure that your ribs turn out perfectly every time. So fire up your grill and get cooking!
