2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 heaping cup blueberries
1 cup thickly sliced strawberries
Maple syrup, warm, for serving

Tips:

  • Use room temperature ingredients: This will help the batter to mix more evenly and will result in a more tender cake.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Line the sheet pan with parchment paper: This will prevent the cake from sticking to the pan and will make it easier to remove.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven: This will help the cake to rise evenly.
  • Don't overbake the cake: Overbaking can make the cake dry. Bake just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
