Tips:

  • Choose the Right Lasagna Noodles: Use high-quality, oven-ready lasagna noodles to ensure they cook evenly and don't require pre-boiling.
  • Make a Flavorful Sauce: Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and develop. Use a combination of ground beef, pork, and sausage for a richer taste.
  • Layer Correctly: Start with a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, followed by a layer of noodles, then sauce, cheese, and repeat. Finish with a final layer of cheese and sauce.
  • Bake at the Right Temperature: Preheat the oven to the correct temperature before baking the lasagna. Bake it covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it Rest: Allow the lasagna to rest for at least 15 minutes before serving. This helps the lasagna set and makes it easier to slice and serve.
