INCREDIBLE SHREDDED BARBECUED BEEF

Incredible Shredded Barbecued Beef image

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but this recipe comes from my "Taste of Home" magazine (Aug/Sept 96). While this may be a bit time consuming, it is without a doubt the best BBQ beef I have ever tasted. Also, it makes so much that you can either eat it for a whole week (lol) or freeze some for later.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: Chuck roast, brisket, and short ribs are all good options for barbecue shredded beef.
  • Cook the beef low and slow: This will help to tenderize the meat and make it fall apart easily.
  • Use a flavorful marinade or rub: This will add flavor to the beef and help to keep it moist.
  • Smoke the beef over indirect heat: This will help to prevent the meat from drying out.
  • Shred the beef when it is tender: Be careful not to overcook it, or it will become tough.
  • Serve the shredded beef with your favorite barbecue sauce and sides.
