1 tablespoon smoked paprika
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup ketchup
2/3 cup cider vinegar, plus more for seasoning
1/4 cup molasses
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon mustard powder
3 tablespoons bourbon, plus more for seasoning
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
10 potato rolls, for serving

Tips:

  • To achieve a tender and flavorful brisket, marinate it for at least 12 hours, preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to penetrate the meat and results in a more succulent dish.
  • Use a combination of dry rubs and wet marinades to create a complex flavor profile. The dry rub helps to create a flavorful crust, while the wet marinade infuses the meat with moisture and tenderness.
  • Cook the brisket low and slow to allow the collagen to break down and the meat to become fall-apart tender. This can be done in a smoker, oven, or slow cooker.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the brisket is cooked to the desired internal temperature. For a medium-rare brisket, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For a medium brisket, cook to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). And for a well-done brisket, cook to an internal temperature of 170°F (77°C).
  • Let the brisket rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful brisket.

Conclusion:

Barbecue beef brisket sandwiches are a delicious and satisfying meal that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following the tips and techniques outlined in this article, you can create a tender, flavorful, and juicy brisket that will be the star of your next cookout or party.
