1/2 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3 medium)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and bananas; mix well. , Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and cloves; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
