Time 17m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 8-count can crescent rolls
1/4 Nutella
2 bananas
1/3 cup sugar
1-3 teaspoons cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet or line with parchment paper or a silpat.
  • Open the can of crescent rolls and unroll.
  • Spread some Nutella on the fat end of each roll. I didn't measure. Like a half tablespoon or so.
  • Cut each banana into 4 segments. Place one on each roll.
  • Roll up the dough and seal using your fingers. You don't want all your Nutella oozing out!
  • In a shallow bowl stir together the cinnamon and sugar.
  • Roll each one in the cinnamon and sugar. Coat it well!
  • Place the rolls on the baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375 for about 12 minutes, or until browned on the bottom.
  • Eat hot! These are best served right away. If you want to eat them later, I would definitely throw them back in the oven until warmed.

Steps:

  • 1. Slice croissant lengthwise almost all the way through. Spread cream cheese on both sides. Spread Nutella on top of cream cheese. Toss banana slices with brown sugar and put in ovenproof pan. Put under a hot broiler for about 30 seconds or until the sugar melts. Put banana slices on top of Nutella and close the croissant. In bowl, mix egg, milk, sugar, rum and vanilla mix until well blended. Dunk croissant into batter, soaking well. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and coat with a little butter. Add croissant and cook like French toast, turning once. Top with powdered sugar and fresh fruit, if desired. Makes 1 serving. Cooking the Costco Way

BANANA AND NUTELLA STUFFED FRENCH TOAST

Banana and Nutella Stuffed French Toast image

With melted Nutella, warmed bananas and a cinnamon-flavored custard coating, this French toast is indulgent and impressive--but secretly very easy to make.

Provided by Kelly Senyei

Categories     main-dish

Time 25m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

Eight 1-inch-thick slices challah or brioche
1/4 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread, such as Nutella®
2 ripe bananas, sliced, plus more for serving
3/4 cup heavy cream
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Butter, for frying
Pure maple syrup, for serving

Steps:

  • Using a sharp paring knife, cut a 3-inch-wide slit into one side of each bread slice, cutting about three-quarters of the way through to make a pocket.
  • Spread 1/2 tablespoon of the chocolate-hazelnut spread inside each pocket and then layer in 3 to 4 banana slices.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough butter to liberally coat the bottom. Heat until hot, but not smoking.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together the cream, eggs, sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Soak each stuffed bread slice into the custard and, working in batches, fry in a single layer until the custard is fully cooked, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Top the French toast with additional banana slices and serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas for a sweeter filling.
  • Spread Nutella evenly over the croissant dough to prevent it from clumping.
  • Roll the croissant dough tightly to ensure the filling doesn't leak out.
  • Bake the croissants until they are golden brown and flaky.
  • Serve the croissants warm with extra Nutella, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.

Conclusion:

Banana Nutella stuffed croissants are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delightful pastry that is perfect for any occasion. These croissants are sure to be a hit with family and friends, and they are also a great way to use up leftover bananas.
