Time 1h35m

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 ripe bananas
2 Tbsp cold butter, cut into small pieces
3 Tbsp brown sugar or splenda brown sugar
8 oz softened cream cheese
1/4 c sugar
1 box brownie mix (9×13 size, i used pilsbury)
8 oz white chocolate chips
3/4 c peanut butter

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice bananas into ½ inch slices and place into a medium baking dish. Top with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for 30 minutes, they will be bubbly and golden brown. Remove from oven and let sit until it cools. Mix bananas with the softened cream cheese and sugar until combined well.
  • 2. Prepare brownie mix according to the directions on the box. Line a 10x10 inch baking dish (makes for a thicker brownie with this size of dish), with tin foil that's been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • 3. Pour brownie batter into prepared dish. Drop banana cream mixture by the spoonfuls evenly over brownie batter. Gently run a knife through the banana and brownie mix, and swirl but do not scrap the bottom of the pan or you will tear the foil.
  • 4. Bake for 40-45 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until toothpick comes out clean from middle of brownies. Let cool completely, then pull out of pan with foil edges and refrigerate.
  • 5. When completely cooled melt white chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave and pour over the top of the brownie let cool completely and cut.

Banana Brownies with Cream Cheese Frosting image

What to do with bananas....I usually eat one then the rest get overly ripe. Then they go in the freezer for banana bread....so I took my brownie recipe made some changes and here you go. You can make the frosting thinner or thicker depending on what you like. It is a delightful change from banana bread and brownies. I hope...

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 large bananas(frozen ripe)
1 1/2 c flour
1 c sugar
dash(es) salt
dash(es) cinammon
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
8 oz philadelphia cream cheese softened
1/2 stick softened butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 c powdered sugar (you may add more if you do not like the consistency)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 11 x 7 baking pan. I used a glass cake pan so you may want to check your brownies while they cook.
  • 2. Combine all the wet ingredients. In another bowl combine the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients stirring just enough to combine.
  • 3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Let completely cool
  • 4. Frosting. Soften the cream cheese and the butter and then combine. Add vanilla and mix. Add the powdered sugar. I used two cups but you may like your frosting thicker in that case add more powdered sugar.
  • 5. Enjoy

Tips:

  • To ensure a smooth and creamy batter, use room-temperature cream cheese.
  • For optimal fudginess, do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a dry and crumbly texture.
  • To prevent the brownies from sticking to the pan, grease it properly or use parchment paper.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them. This will help them maintain their shape and texture.
  • For a more intense banana flavor, use ripe bananas with plenty of brown spots.
  • To add a touch of crunch, sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans on top of the brownies before baking.

Conclusion:

These banana cream cheese brownies offer a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The moist and fudgy brownie base pairs perfectly with the creamy and tangy cream cheese filling, while the banana adds a touch of sweetness and natural flavor. Whether you are a fan of classic brownies or looking for a unique and indulgent treat, these banana cream cheese brownies are sure to satisfy your cravings. Enjoy them as a dessert, snack, or even a sweet breakfast treat.
