Tips:

  • Choose the right yams: Look for yams that are firm and have smooth, unblemished skin. Avoid yams that are soft or have blemishes, as these may be signs of spoilage.
  • Scrub the yams well: Before roasting, scrub the yams thoroughly with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Cut the yams into uniform pieces: This will help them roast evenly. If the yams are large, cut them into 1-inch cubes. If they are small, you can leave them whole.
  • Toss the yams with oil and seasonings: In a large bowl, toss the yams with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings, or herbs.
  • Roast the yams at a high temperature: This will help them caramelize and develop a crispy exterior. Roast the yams at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes, or until they are tender.
  • Serve the yams immediately: Roasted yams are best served hot, right out of the oven. You can garnish them with fresh herbs, such as parsley or cilantro, for added flavor.

Conclusion:

Balsamic roasted yams are a delicious and healthy side dish that can be enjoyed as part of a variety of meals. They are easy to make and can be roasted in the oven in just 30 minutes. With their sweet and tangy flavor, balsamic roasted yams are sure to be a hit with everyone at the table.
