Tips:

  • Choose the right hops: Different hops have different flavor and aroma profiles. For baking, you'll want to choose hops that have a pleasant, floral, or citrusy aroma. Some good options include Cascade, Centennial, and Simcoe.
  • Use hops in moderation: Hops can be a strong flavor, so it's important to use them in moderation. A good rule of thumb is to start with 1-2 ounces of hops per 5 gallons of beer. You can always add more hops to taste.
  • Add hops at the right time: The timing of when you add hops to the beer will affect the flavor and aroma. For a more pronounced hop flavor and aroma, add hops early in the boil. For a more subtle hop flavor and aroma, add hops later in the boil or during dry hopping.
  • Experiment with different hop varieties: There are many different varieties of hops available, each with its own unique flavor and aroma profile. Experiment with different varieties to find the ones that you like the best.
