SPICY BAKED STUFFED AVOCADO

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 piece Avocados
4 piece organic Eggs
1 handful Cilantro
1 head Green Onion (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon Harissa (optional)
1 piece Chili Flakes
1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
1/2 piece Lime, squeezed
1 pinch Sea Salt

Steps:

  • Start by preheating the oven to 400F.
  • Cut the avocados in half and scoop out a bit of the flesh from the center (think about digging a little whole in the middle of the avocado without piercing through to the other side) and save the rest for a later salad.
  • Add a small layer of harissa in the whole.
  • Crack the egg into the whole - try to get the yolk in the whole while the white part spills over the pan and around the avocado.
  • Add a pinch of salt and let this bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once it bakes off, take it out from the oven and add on all your toppings with a squeeze of lime juice. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados: For the best flavor and texture, select ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure. Avoid avocados that are too hard or have dark spots.
  • Stuff the avocados generously: Don't be afraid to fill the avocado halves with a generous amount of stuffing. This will ensure that each bite is packed with flavor and satisfaction.
  • Use a variety of toppings: Feel free to experiment with different toppings to create your own unique flavor combinations. Some popular options include crumbled bacon, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions.
  • Cook the avocados until they are tender: The cooking time will vary depending on the size of the avocados and the type of stuffing you are using. As a general rule, bake the avocados for 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Serve the avocados immediately: Baked stuffed avocados are best served hot out of the oven. This will ensure that the avocado is creamy and the stuffing is warm and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Baked stuffed avocados are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed as an appetizer, main course, or side dish. With their creamy texture and endless flavor possibilities, they are sure to be a hit with everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal that's also packed with flavor, give baked stuffed avocados a try.
