Tips:

  • Select the Right Salmon: Choose a fresh, wild-caught salmon fillet with a vibrant color and firm texture. Avoid fillets with bruises or discoloration.
  • Season Wisely: Use a combination of herbs, spices, and citrus to enhance the natural flavor of the salmon. Common seasonings include salt, pepper, garlic, lemon zest, and dill.
  • Choose a Suitable Pan: Select a baking pan or dish that is large enough to accommodate the salmon fillet without overcrowding. A shallow pan with a nonstick surface is ideal.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to the recommended temperature before placing the salmon inside. This helps ensure even cooking.
  • Cook to Perfection: Bake the salmon for the specified amount of time, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Overcooking can dry out the fish.
  • Garnish Elegantly: After baking, garnish the salmon with fresh herbs, lemon wedges, or a drizzle of olive oil to enhance its visual appeal.
