Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon fillet. Look for a fillet that is about 1 pound in weight and has a thickness of about 1 inch. The fillet should be firm and have a bright orange color.
  • Use fresh herbs. Fresh herbs will give your salmon a more flavorful crust. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but use only half the amount.
  • Don't overcook the salmon. Salmon is a delicate fish that can easily be overcooked. Cook it for just 10-12 minutes per inch of thickness, or until it is cooked through but still slightly pink in the center.
  • Serve the salmon immediately. Baked salmon is best served hot, right out of the oven. You can garnish it with fresh herbs or lemon wedges.

Conclusion:

Baked salmon with mustard crumb crust is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The mustard crumb crust gives the salmon a flavorful and crispy coating, while the inside of the fish remains moist and flaky. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
