- 2. Butter 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish.
- 3. Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite. Drain. Place in prepared baking dish.
- 4. Mix in ham, tomatoes, feta cheese, mozzarella cheese and thyme. Pour cream over. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss to blend.
- 5. Cover with foil. Bake pasta 15 minutes. Uncover and stir to coat pasta evenly with melted cheeses.
- 6. Cover again. Bake until heated through, about 30 minutes longer.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your baked rigatoni and ham. Look for fresh, flavorful tomatoes, a good quality Parmesan cheese, and a flavorful ham.
- Don't overcook the pasta. Cook the pasta according to the package directions, but be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and won't hold its shape well in the casserole.
- Use a creamy Alfredo sauce. A creamy Alfredo sauce is the perfect complement to the rigatoni and ham. It's rich, flavorful, and will help to keep the casserole moist.
- Add plenty of cheese. Cheese is a key ingredient in any baked pasta dish. Use a combination of Parmesan, mozzarella, and ricotta cheeses for a cheesy, gooey casserole.
- Bake the casserole until it's golden brown. The casserole is finished baking when it's golden brown and bubbly. This will take about 30 minutes.
Conclusion:
Baked rigatoni and ham is a delicious and easy-to-make casserole that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It's made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and it can be on the table in about an hour. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give this baked rigatoni and ham casserole a try. You won't be disappointed!
