BAKED POTATOES ON THE GRILL

Baked Potatoes on the Grill image

This is a recipe I use to throw a potato on the grill while I am grilling. I like how it makes the skin crispy and the center soft. Use whatever toppings you like, as in butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for baking on the grill, as they have a thick skin that helps to keep them moist. Yukon Gold and red potatoes can also be used, but they may need to be wrapped in foil to prevent them from drying out.
  • Scrub the potatoes well before baking them to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Pierce the potatoes with a fork before baking them to help them cook evenly.
  • Wrap the potatoes in foil to help them cook evenly and prevent them from drying out. If you are using Yukon Gold or red potatoes, you can wrap them in foil or place them directly on the grill grate.
  • Bake the potatoes on a medium-low heat for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving to prevent them from burning your hands.
  • Top the potatoes with your favorite toppings, such as butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, or chili.

Conclusion:

Baked potatoes on the grill are a delicious and easy side dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for summer cookouts and potlucks. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that everyone will love.
