  • Properly Clean and Prepare the Fillets: Rinse the perch fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Remove any remaining bones or scales for a smooth texture.
  • Use a Quality Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese provides the best flavor and texture. Avoid pre-packaged or shredded cheese for optimal results.
  • Season the Fillets Generously: Season the fillets liberally with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to enhance their natural flavor. You can also add additional seasonings or herbs based on your preference.
  • Create a Crispy Parmesan Crust: Combine grated Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and melted butter to create a flavorful and crispy coating for the fish. Press the mixture firmly onto the fillets, ensuring even coverage.
  • Bake at the Right Temperature: Preheat your oven to the recommended temperature (typically 400°F/200°C) before baking the fish. This ensures that the fillets cook evenly and develop a golden-brown crust.
  • Monitor the Baking Time: Keep a close eye on the fillets during baking to prevent overcooking. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets and your oven's performance.
  • Serve with Desired Accompaniments: Once cooked, serve the baked Parmesan perch with your preferred sides. Popular options include roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. A squeeze of lemon or tartar sauce can also enhance the flavor.
