BAKED MAHI MAHI

Baked Mahi Mahi image

I have used this method for fresh albacore, yellowtail, and dorado (mahi mahi). I am sure it would work for any firm white fish. Don't fear the mayonnaise! I was inspired by other delicious fish dishes that contained mayonnaise to create this quick simple preparation of fresh fish. My 2-year-old and my 4-year-old both ask for more!

Tips:

  • Choose fresh mahi-mahi: Look for fillets that are firm and have a mild, sweet smell. Avoid any fish that has a fishy or sour odor.
  • Use a good quality white wine: The wine you use will add flavor to the dish, so choose one that you enjoy drinking. A dry white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, is a good option.
  • Don't overcook the fish: Mahi-mahi is a delicate fish, so it's important to cook it carefully. Overcooked fish will be dry and tough.
  • Serve immediately: Baked mahi-mahi is best served immediately after it is cooked. The fish will continue to cook from the residual heat, so it's important to remove it from the oven as soon as it is done.

Conclusion:

Baked mahi-mahi with wine and herbs is a delicious and healthy meal that can be easily prepared at home. The fish is moist and flaky, and the wine and herb sauce adds a flavorful touch. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
