6 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups regular grits
16 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed
1/2 cup milk
4 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup unsalted butter
8 ounces grated sharp white cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Grease a 4-quart casserole dish.
  • Bring the broth, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan.
  • Stir in the grits and whisk until completely combined.

4 c water
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 c uncooked quick-cooking grits
8 oz extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and separated
1 Tbsp butter
3/4 c milk
2 clove garlic, minced
2 large eggs
cooking spray, butter flavor

Steps:

  • 1. Bring water and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan. Gradually add grits, stirring constantly. Cover and simmer 8 minutes or until thick, stirring frequently.
  • 2. Remove pan from heat. Add the butter and 6 oz. of the cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Combine milk, garlic and eggs, stirring with a whisk. Stir milk mixture into grits mixture. Pour into a greased or sprayed 2-qt. casserole dish.
