SIMPLE BAKED FRENCH TOAST
The beauty of this recipe is that it's baked, not cooked on the stovetop, and you can put everything together the night before. In the morning, put the soaked bread in the oven, and by the time the juice is squeezed and the table is set, you'll have French toast, hot and sweet, baked to a golden crisp.

BAKED FRENCH TOAST - PLAIN AND SIMPLE
There certainly is no lack of french toast recipes here on 'Zaar. Lots of variety, and no doubt very delicious. This however is how our family likes it. Lower in fat, with no sweetener added. After all, don't most serve with butter and syrup? This makes a 9 x 13 pan, enough for serving the multitudes. Easily halved and quartered. Just remember to adjust the cooking time and the size of the baking dish.

Tips:
- Use a good quality bread for the best results. A bread that is slightly stale, such as day-old bread, will work well.
- If you don't have a baking dish, you can use a large skillet instead. Just be sure to grease the skillet well to prevent the french toast from sticking.
- If you want a sweeter french toast, you can add sugar or syrup to the egg mixture. You can also sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on the bread before baking.
- Serve the french toast with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
Conclusion:
Baked french toast is a delicious and easy breakfast or brunch dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to use up leftover bread, and it can be customized to your liking with a variety of toppings.
