BAKED BLAZING HOT WINGS

Baked Blazing Hot Wings image

This blazing hot wing recipe is an alternative to deep-fried wings. They are baked instead of fried and stay juicy rather than crisp. I started making these about 5 years ago and they were an instant hit. I am always asked to bring the wings for all the parties we are invited to now.

2 cups hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Arrange frozen chicken wings in a single layer in a shallow baking dish.

Number Of Ingredients 5

5 pounds frozen chicken wings
1/2 cup butter
2 cups Franks Red Hot(R) hot sauce
2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
1 tablespoon flour

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). 2. Place frozen wings in a single layer in a shallow pan. 3. Bake for 25 minutes then turn the wings onto the other side. 4. While wings finish cooking, place butter, hot sauce, vinegar into a sauce pan. Heat slowly, stirring with wire whisk until butter has melted. Add the flour slowly until combined, then keep stirring until desired thickness. 5. Drain wings when finished, let stand for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over drained wings and toss.

Tips:

  • To ensure crispy wings, pat them dry with paper towels before tossing them in the baking powder mixture.
  • For extra crispy wings, let them rest on a wire rack for 15 minutes before baking.
  • For a more intense flavor, marinate the wings in your favorite sauce or spices for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • Be sure to preheat your oven to the correct temperature before baking the wings. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Keep an eye on the wings while they are baking to prevent them from overcooking. They are done when they are golden brown and crispy.

Conclusion:

These baked blazing hot wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or party food. They are sure to be a hit with your friends and family. So next time you are looking for a tasty snack, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
