BAKED BBQ CHICKEN TENDERS

Baked BBQ Chicken Tenders image

These chicken tenders have a barbecue base but are elevated with a decidedly Asian influence. I use Savory Spice® Asian Delight BBQ Rub, which is different from Chinese five-spice.

BAKED BBQ RUB CHICKEN

This is something that I created one night. The spices I mixed together by myself and use it for many of stuff I cook. I have you enjoy this. My one tip to you is NOT to use margarine as a substitute for butter in this dish. It will not turn our correctly or as flavorful.

Tips:

  • Use a flavorful BBQ rub: The rub is what gives the chicken its delicious flavor, so make sure to use a blend that you enjoy. Some popular options include paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes: This will help the flavors of the rub to penetrate the chicken and make it more juicy. If you don't have time to marinate the chicken for long, you can simply sprinkle the rub on the chicken before baking.
  • Preheat your oven to the correct temperature: The temperature of your oven will depend on the recipe you are using. Be sure to preheat your oven to the correct temperature before putting the chicken in, as this will help to ensure that the chicken cooks evenly.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken breast is a lean meat, so it can easily become dry if it is overcooked. Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, then remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Baked BBQ chicken can be served with a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or coleslaw. You can also serve it on a bun with your favorite BBQ sauce.
