Time 15m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup half-and-half
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 2/3 cups whiskey (I use Jameson)
1/4 cup Hersheys Chocolate Syrup
2 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Add ingredients in blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Taste (!) I usually adjust the flavor at this point, adding either more half and half, more chocolate or leaving it as is.

Tips:

  • Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before starting. This will help ensure a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor. Look for a cocoa powder that is labeled "Dutch-process" or "alkalized." These cocoa powders have a richer, darker flavor than natural cocoa powder.
  • Don't over-beat the mixture. Over-beating can cause the mixture to become grainy or curdled.
  • Chill the mixture for at least 4 hours before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop.
  • Serve chilled, over ice, or mixed with coffee or hot chocolate.

Conclusion:

This Baileys copycat Irish cream recipe is a delicious and easy way to make your own Irish cream at home. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a creamy, flavorful liqueur that is perfect for sipping on its own or using in cocktails. Whether you're looking for a festive holiday drink or a special treat to enjoy all year round, this Baileys copycat Irish cream recipe is sure to please.
