8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon, diced
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
barbecue sauce (optional)
prepared mustard (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside.

Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook until the cheese is melted. Serve with barbecue sauce and mustard if desired.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Start with fresh, flavorful ingredients for the best results. Use high-quality bacon, ground beef, cheese, and pasta.
  • Cook the bacon and ground beef separately: This will help to ensure that both are evenly cooked. Drain the grease from the bacon and ground beef before adding them to the pasta.
  • Use a flavorful cheese: A sharp cheddar cheese or a smoked Gouda cheese will add a lot of flavor to the dish. You can also use a combination of cheeses.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and not as flavorful.
  • Add the bacon, ground beef, and cheese to the pasta while it is still hot: This will help the cheese to melt and the flavors to blend together.
  • Serve the pasta immediately: Top with additional shredded cheese, if desired. Serve the pasta with a side of garlic bread or a salad.
