Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Oil a baking sheet with 1 tablespoon olive oil and set aside.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook until the broccoli has softened slightly and become bright green, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Lightly flour a clean work surface and stretch or roll the dough into a large rectangle, about 11-by-13 inches. With the long side closest to you, spread the pesto on the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border on all sides. (You'll want to maintain the 1-inch border when adding the remaining toppings.) Top the pesto with the broccoli mixture and sprinkle over the Cheddar. Shingle the mozzarella slices over the Cheddar. Sprinkle on the basil leaves.
- Fold the short sides in, then roll the dough into a log. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, make 5 to 6 diagonal slits on top of the dough. Brush the top with the remaining tablespoon olive oil and sprinkle with the grated Parmesan.
- Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Serve the warmed marinara alongside and top each serving with some more fresh basil.

Steps:
- Place oven rack in center of oven and preheat to 400˚F.
- Cook Bacon. Remove to paper-towel lined plate.
- Lightly flour work surface and unfold puff pastry sheet, rolling it out to a 14" x 14" square. Pinch seams created by folds to seal them together as you roll. Move dough often and dust sticky areas with flour.
- Arrange 4 bacon slices in 2 lines from left to right: one across the top, the other across the bottom, leaving 1" border. Between rows of bacon spread scrambled eggs running entire width of bacon lines, but not all the way to edge of dough. Scatter cheese over top.
- Beat remaining egg with water and brush around perimeter of dough.
- Begin rolling Stromboli by taking the longer side of dough and rolling it over filling. Pinch seam to seal. Place Stromboli on parchment lined baking sheet with seam side down. Tuck ends under to seal and brush entire roll with egg wash. Sprinkle dough with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake for 25−30 minutes, or until crust is deep golden brown. Let sit for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients, especially for the cheese and bacon. Freshly grated Parmesan and mozzarella cheese will melt better and provide a more flavorful filling. Thick-cut bacon will add more texture and flavor to the stromboli. - Don't overfill the stromboli. Too much filling will make it difficult to seal and roll the dough, and it may burst open during baking. - Use a sharp knife to score the top of the stromboli before baking. This will help the stromboli cook evenly and prevent the filling from bubbling up. - Bake the stromboli on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. This will help the bottom of the stromboli cook evenly and prevent it from sticking. - Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the filling set and prevent it from running out. Conclusion:
Bacon cheese stromboli is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or a quick and easy weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can make a stromboli that is sure to impress your friends and family.
