Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Unroll pie crust onto lightly floured surface. Spacing closely, use an 8oz can of tomato sauce to cut 12 disk (9 around outside edge and 3 in the center). Press disk into a mini- muffin pan. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- 2. Stack bacon and thinly slice. Cook bacon until crisp. While bacon is cooling cut tomatoes in half, scrap out seeds and dice. Chop bacon and combine bacon, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mustard and garlic. Mix well
- 3. Fill each pie crust cup with about 1 tbsp of mix. Bake 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted. Top with sliced green onions and additional tomatoes. And ENJOY!!!
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your bacon cheddar bites. Look for thick-cut bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and fresh herbs.
- Don't overcook the bacon. Bacon is best when it's cooked until it's crispy but not burned. Keep an eye on it while it's cooking so that you don't overcook it.
- Use a good quality cheddar cheese. Sharp cheddar cheese will give your bacon cheddar bites the best flavor. You can also use a combination of cheddar and other cheeses, such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack.
- Add some fresh herbs to the batter. Fresh herbs, such as chives, parsley, or thyme, will add a nice flavor to your bacon cheddar bites. You can also add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor.
- Bake the bacon cheddar bites until they're golden brown. This will ensure that they're cooked through and have a nice crispy crust.
Conclusion:
Bacon cheddar bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They're made with just a few simple ingredients and can be baked in the oven in under 30 minutes. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack or appetizer, give bacon cheddar bites a try!
