KETO CHEESY BACON AND EGG CUPS

Keto Cheesy Bacon and Egg Cups image

These simple 3-ingredient egg cups can be made ahead of time for a grab-and-go breakfast that fits into your keto and low-carb lifestyle. Try different cheeses like pepper Jack or smoked Gouda for a change of pace. This works best with regular bacon, as thick-cut won't cook up as well. This recipe can easily be doubled.

Provided by Tisme

Categories     Breakfast

Time 40m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 soft hamburger buns
3 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, sliced
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
6 eggs
seasoning
250 g cheddar cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cut a slice from the top of each bun reserving the tops.
  • Hollow out each bun, being careful to leave a thick shell.
  • Saute bacon and onion in pan; place on absorbent paper to drain off any excess oil.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan; stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
  • Brush the inside of buns with the half the butter mixture.
  • Carefully break an egg into each bun.
  • Spoon bacon and onion mixture over eggs.
  • Season eggs; top with grated cheese; replace the bun lids.
  • Brush each of the bun lids with the remaining butter.
  • Bake in oven at 200 degree Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15 minutes or until eggs have cooked.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best results. Fresh, free-range eggs and thick-cut bacon will make a big difference in the flavor of your breakfast baskets.
  • Don't overcook the eggs. The yolks should be slightly runny for the best texture and flavor.
  • Use a variety of fillings to create different flavor combinations. Some popular options include cheese, vegetables, and meat.
  • Get creative with your presentation. You can use different shapes of bread or muffin tins to create unique breakfast baskets.
  • Serve the breakfast baskets immediately after they are made for the best experience.

Conclusion:

Bacon and egg breakfast baskets are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a little creativity, you can create a variety of different flavor combinations that will please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give bacon and egg breakfast baskets a try.
