  • For a crispier bacon, cook it in a single layer in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until desired crispness.
  • To save time, use pre-cooked bacon or bacon bits. Just make sure to drain off any excess grease before using.
  • If you don't have a toothpick, you can secure the bacon and date with a small wooden skewer or even a pretzel stick.
  • For a sweeter appetizer, use a sweeter variety of dates, such as Medjool dates.
  • To add a bit of spice, sprinkle the bacon-wrapped dates with chili powder, cayenne pepper, or paprika before baking.
  • For a more savory appetizer, stuff the dates with a mixture of goat cheese, blue cheese, or feta cheese before wrapping them in bacon.
  • Feel free to experiment with different fillings, such as dried apricots, prunes, or even pineapple chunks.
