Time 3m

Yield 1 sandwich

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 slices whole wheat bread (preferably soft)
1 teaspoon butter, the secret ingredient
1 tablespoon peanut butter (I use organic smooth)
2 teaspoons strawberry jam (I use Trader Joe's low sugar)

Steps:

  • Spread a half teaspoon of butter on each slice of bread.
  • Spread one slice with peanut butter.
  • Swirl jam into peanut butter.
  • Cover with other slice of bread.

Tips:

  • Choose the right bagel: Look for a bagel that is soft and chewy, with a slight sweetness. Avoid bagels that are too hard or dense, as they will be difficult for your baby to chew.
  • Use smooth peanut butter: Smooth peanut butter is easier for babies to spread and eat than chunky peanut butter. If you are using chunky peanut butter, be sure to mash it up with a fork before spreading it on the bagel.
  • Use ripe bananas: Ripe bananas are sweeter and easier to mash than unripe bananas. They also provide a good source of potassium and fiber.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: You can add other ingredients to your baby's PB&J bagel sandwich, such as sliced strawberries, blueberries, or raisins. You can also use different types of bread, such as whole wheat or white.
  • Make sure the sandwich is cut into small pieces: This will make it easier for your baby to eat.
  • Serve the sandwich immediately: PB&J sandwiches are best when they are fresh. If you need to make the sandwich ahead of time, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Conclusion:

Baby PB&J bagel sandwiches are a quick, easy, and nutritious breakfast or snack for your little one. They are packed with protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates, and they are also a good source of vitamins and minerals. So next time you're looking for a healthy and delicious meal for your baby, give these PB&J bagel sandwiches a try.
