PALETAS DE AGUACATE

Categories     Side     Avocado     Boil

Yield makes 8 to 10

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 small ripe avocados
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

Steps:

  • Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan and cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugar has dissolved. Let cool to room temperature.
  • Cut the avocados in half lengthwise. Remove the pit and scoop the flesh into a blender, along with the cooled syrup and salt. Blend until smooth, scraping the sides as needed. Add the lime juice and blend just until combined.
  • If using conventional molds, divide the mixture among the molds, snap on the lid, and freeze until solid, about 5 hours. If using glasses or other unconventional molds, freeze until the pops are beginning to set (1 1/2 to 2 hours), then insert the sticks and freeze until solid, 4 to 5 hours. If using an instant ice pop maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados: The riper the avocados, the creamier and more flavorful your paletas will be.
  • Use high-quality chocolate: The better the chocolate, the better your paletas will taste. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 70%) and a smooth, rich flavor.
  • Don't overfill the popsicle molds: Leave about 1/2 inch of space at the top of each mold so that the paletas have room to expand as they freeze.
  • Freeze the paletas for at least 4 hours: This will ensure that they are fully frozen and solid.
  • Dip the paletas in chocolate before serving: This is optional, but it adds a delicious and decadent touch.

Conclusion:

Avocado paletas are a delicious and refreshing treat that are perfect for summer. They are also a good source of healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins. With just a few simple ingredients, you can easily make these paletas at home. So what are you waiting for? Give them a try today!
