AVOCADO TOAST WITH BACON AND MAPLE
I first tried this from a recipe by I'mPat, but have come to see that to really add the little bit of umami, a tiny smear of vegemite on the bread is in order. But be warned- use vegemite in very small quantities because it is powerful schtuff.

Tips:
- Choose ripe avocados: Look for avocados that are dark green or black in color, and yield slightly to gentle pressure.
- Use thick-cut bacon: Thick-cut bacon will add more flavor and texture to your avocado toast.
- Cook the bacon until it's crispy: Crispy bacon is the best kind of bacon, so don't be afraid to cook it until it's well-done.
- Use real maple syrup: Real maple syrup has a much better flavor than pancake syrup or other artificial sweeteners.
- Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the bacon, don't overcrowd the pan, or the bacon will steam instead of fry.
- Drain the bacon on paper towels: This will help to remove excess grease from the bacon.
- Toast the bread until it's golden brown: Toasted bread will help to hold up the avocado and bacon.
- Spread the avocado on the toast while it's still warm: This will help the avocado to spread more easily.
- Top the avocado toast with bacon and maple syrup: Add as much or as little bacon and maple syrup as you like.
Conclusion:
Avocado toast with bacon and maple syrup is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast, lunch, or snack.
