1 pinch salt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Tips:

  • Choose fresh broccoli florets: Look for florets that are deep green in color and tightly closed. Avoid florets that are yellowing or have brown spots.
  • Cut the broccoli florets into uniform pieces: This will help them cook evenly. If the florets are too large, they may not cook through properly.
  • Steam the broccoli florets: Steaming is a gentle cooking method that preserves the broccoli's nutrients and bright green color. You can steam the broccoli florets in a steamer basket over boiling water, or you can use a microwave steamer.
  • Make the lemon butter sauce while the broccoli is steaming: This will save you time and ensure that the sauce is hot and ready when the broccoli is done.
  • Use fresh lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice has a brighter flavor than bottled lemon juice. If you don't have fresh lemon juice, you can substitute white wine vinegar or rice vinegar.
  • Season the lemon butter sauce to taste: Add salt and pepper to taste, and you can also add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder, if desired.
  • Serve the broccoli florets with the lemon butter sauce immediately: This dish is best enjoyed fresh.

Conclusion:

This Atkins Broccoli Florets with Lemon Butter Sauce is a delicious and healthy side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The broccoli florets are steamed to perfection and then tossed in a flavorful lemon butter sauce. This dish is low in carbs and high in nutrients, making it a great choice for people who are following the Atkins diet or who are simply looking for a healthy and delicious meal.
