Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender asparagus. Look for spears that are bright green and have tight, closed tips.
  • Trim the asparagus spears. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus spears. You can also peel the asparagus spears if desired.
  • Cook the asparagus spears quickly. Overcooking will make the asparagus spears tough and fibrous. Steam, boil, or roast the asparagus spears for just a few minutes, until they are tender but still have a slight crunch.
  • Season the asparagus spears with simple ingredients. Lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper are all great ways to flavor asparagus spears. You can also add other herbs and spices to taste.
  • Serve the asparagus spears immediately. Asparagus spears are best served fresh and hot. You can also chill the asparagus spears and serve them cold as a salad.

Conclusion:

Asparagus with lemon broth is a delicious and healthy side dish that can be enjoyed as part of a variety of meals. It is a low-sodium dish that is also a good source of vitamins and minerals. Asparagus is also a good source of fiber, which can help to promote a healthy digestive system. With its simple ingredients and easy preparation, asparagus with lemon broth is a great choice for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
