ASPARAGUS MORNAY
When I was growing up on my parents' dairy farm, we always had a large asparagus patch. I still love asparagus, but my husband and two children weren't that eager to eat it until I found this recipe. Now even my toughest vegetable critic, 4-year-old son Aaron, enjoys these savory spears. - Linda McKee, Big Prairie, Ohio

AIR FRYER ASPARAGUS
Asparagus is so good in the spring, and sometimes, you can find the really thick spears, like I did. This lovely side dish is ready in just a few minutes to enhance a weeknight dinner, or maybe something more special. Please be aware that different brands and sizes of air fryers may produce different results. If your asparagus is thin, reduce the cooking time.

Tips:
- Choose the right asparagus. Look for asparagus that is fresh, firm, and has tight tips. Avoid asparagus that is wilted or has woody ends.
- Trim the asparagus properly. Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus, about 1 inch from the bottom.
- Cook the asparagus until it is just tender. Overcooked asparagus will be mushy and lose its flavor.
- Make sure the Mornay sauce is thick enough. The sauce should be thick enough to coat the asparagus, but not so thick that it is difficult to stir.
- Serve the asparagus immediately. Asparagus is best served fresh out of the oven, while the sauce is still hot and bubbly.
Conclusion:
Asparagus Mornay is a classic French dish that is both elegant and delicious. It is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. With its creamy, cheesy sauce and tender asparagus, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
