2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt, divided
4 cups shredded cabbage
4 scallions, thinly sliced
For the Burgers:

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork. Ground pork shoulder or ground pork butt are both good choices for these burgers, as they have a good amount of fat and flavor. You can also use ground pork loin, but it will be a bit leaner.
  • Use fresh ingredients. The fresher your ingredients are, the better your burgers will taste. This includes the pork, the vegetables, and the herbs and spices.
  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing the meat will make the burgers tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from drying out. Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
  • Let the burgers rest before serving. This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the burgers, making them more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

These Asian-style pork burgers are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. They're perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend barbecue. Serve them on buns with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese. You can also serve them with rice or noodles.
