Tips:

  • Choose fresh salmon. Look for salmon fillets that are bright pink or orange in color, with firm flesh. Avoid any fillets that are dull or have brown spots.
  • Properly prepare the salmon. To ensure the best results, make sure to remove the skin and bones from the salmon before cooking it. You can also remove the scales, if desired.
  • Cook the salmon thoroughly. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) when cooked. This will help to prevent any bacteria from growing.
  • Let the salmon cool. Before you add the salmon to the spread, allow it to cool slightly. This will help to prevent the spread from becoming too runny.
  • Use a variety of ingredients. Don't be afraid to experiment with different ingredients when making Asian salmon spread. Some popular additions include cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, herbs, spices, and vegetables.
