Tips:

  • Choose the freshest artichokes. Look for artichokes that are heavy for their size, have tightly closed leaves, and no signs of bruising or discoloration.
  • Thaw frozen artichokes properly. If using frozen artichokes, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for several hours. Do not thaw them in the microwave.
  • Cook the artichokes until they are tender. Artichokes are done cooking when you can easily pierce them with a fork.
  • Use a variety of cheeses. The best cheese balls use a combination of cheeses, such as cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Add your favorite seasonings. Season the cheese balls with your favorite herbs and spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Roll the cheese balls in bread crumbs. Coating the cheese balls in bread crumbs helps them to hold their shape and gives them a crispy coating.
  • Fry the cheese balls until they are golden brown. Fry the cheese balls in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the cheese balls immediately. Cheese balls are best served immediately, while they are still warm and gooey.
